About AWARE — Our Parent Organization

AWARE (Action for Welfare and Awakening in Rural Environment) is a non-profit National Development Organization dedicated to serving the poorest and most oppressed communities in India — tribals, harijans, women, and socio-economically depressed groups. Established in Hyderabad on 5th November 1975 by anthropologist Dr. P.K.S. Madhavan, AWARE has grown into one of India’s largest and most respected development organizations, working across thousands of villages in multiple states.

RVTC is one of many institutions established under the AWARE Group, alongside rural hospitals, engineering colleges, a nursing college, and several other development initiatives.
